What’s better than a ’63 Split Window? A ’63 Split Window with an LS3, backed by a 5-speed! Here at Shift Speed Shop, we took one of Chevrolet’s most iconic designs and turned up the performance without sacrificing an ounce of its timeless style. Under the hood, this Stingray now packs a modern punch thanks to a rowdy LS3, expertly paired with a crisp-shifting Tremec TKX from American Powertrain—keeping control in the driver’s hands. Bringing it to a confident stop are Baer brakes at all four corners, and the 17-inch Ridler wheels offer a respectful nod to tradition while updating the look just enough to hint at what lurks under the hood.
Underneath, the chassis benefits from a full RideTech suspension setup for modern handling, while a 3-inch stainless exhaust—fabricated in-house—allows the LS3 to roar with authority. Cooling is handled by a heavy duty Ron Davis radiator with electric fans, and Borgeson power steering ensures smooth, effortless control. The rear differential was rebuilt with a 3.08 Yukon Duragrip Posi and gear set, striking the perfect balance between street-friendly cruising and gut-wrenching performance.
Inside, the cabin is both refined and fully functional — even by today’s standards. Dakota Digital gauges provide crisp, accurate readouts, Vintage Air A/C keeps things cool even on the hottest Arizona days, and Hushmat sound deadening quiets down the ride without taking away from that raw Corvette feel. The entire car was re-wired with an American Autowire harness, and a Holley Terminator EFI system is seamlessly integrated to expertly manage the new powertrain. This Corvette has been reimagined with the performance, comfort, and reliability needed to make it as iconic and aggressive today as it was when it first rolled off the assembly line in 1963.
